A scalable design system built for a fast-growing SaaS product
Axiom is a comprehensive design system built from the ground up for a fast-scaling SaaS product. It covers 120+ components, a full token architecture, and a living documentation site.
The product had grown from 3 to 40 engineers with zero shared design language. Every team was building their own components, creating a fragmented, inconsistent user experience.
I audited the entire product, identified 14 core patterns, and built a token-first system in Figma. Every component ships with accessibility specs, interaction guidelines, and usage documentation.
Design-to-dev handoff time dropped by 60%. New features ship with consistent UI on day one. The system now serves 40 engineers across 3 product teams.
